Staff Software Engineer across prototyping and product teams, building an AI-native travel planning app and now shipping new products on Guest & Host.
Hi, I'm Michael
I build delightful products.
I'm a product developer focused on crafting thoughtful software experiences. I've prototyped and shipped products at Snapchat and Neon. I explored AI-powered experiences at Airbnb and now I ship new features on the Guest & Host team. I studied Human-Computer Interaction at Stanford.
Now
April 2026-
Shipping new features at Airbnb.
-
Building LiftKeeper, my no-nonsense iOS app for tracking weightlifting PRs.
-
Open to cooking up side projects with friends β most recently BabySafe Scanner with Daniel Amitay.
-
Thinking about the next thing worth making.
Experience
A high-level view of my career journey.
Staff Software Engineer at Brazilian fintech Neon where I worked bilingually in English and Portuguese. Built foundational iOS frameworks, shipped two new apps, and designed, prototyped, and built the novel Neon Lens.
Grew from intern to Senior Design Engineer, shipping products in Search and Discover before switching to messaging and prototyping Snap's visions for the future.
Stanford
Earned my Bachelor's and Master's at Stanford, where I studied Human-Computer Interaction and built the foundations for how I think about interfaces, interaction, and product feel.
Personal work
Available on the App Store.
LiftKeeper
Tracking your lifts should feel as satisfying as hitting a PR. Log snatches, clean & jerks, and more in seconds β no clutter, no fuss, just a clean timeline of your progress.
BabySafe Scanner
Babyproofing, made easy. Snap a photo of any room and the app identifies hazards and suggests safe solutions β so parents can focus on what matters most.
Fun facts
A couple things that don't fit neatly anywhere else.
Broadcasting at Stanford
At Stanford, I was the play-by-play broadcaster for football, baseball, and soccer.
Listen to a few calls β
Adaptive CrossFit
I spend my free time competing in CrossFit as an adaptive athlete (I'm missing my left leg).
Most recently, I placed 8th in the world at the 2025 Adaptive CrossFit Games.
